SCCDC To Host 12th Annual “Tee Off For Shelter” On Saturday, November 3, 2007, the SCCDC (Santa Clarita Community Development Corporation) will host its twelfth annual golf tournament on the Valley Course at Robinson Ranch Golf Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Emergency Winter Shelter, which feeds and provides shelter and counseling for our homeless neighbors in the Santa Clarita Valley. On course activities include: hole-in-one, closest to pin, and long-drive contests. After golfing for a great cause, join the SCCDC for an awards reception and silent auction. Trophies will be given to the top golfers and absolutely amazing prizes be available for live auction, which will be conducted by Big League Sports. The cost to participate is $225 per person and includes cart, golf, driving range, lunch, tee prize and awards reception. An activity book can be purchased for $25 which includes entry into the tournament contest plus two Mulligans. Call now to support this important cause, Tee, Green, Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsorships are available but do go quickly. For sponsorship or tournament information, please contact Randy Sain at 661-254-2597, email rsboyer14@aol.com, or visit the shelter website at www.santaclaritashelter.com. The Santa Clarita Valley Emergency Winter Shelter assists people with the help they need to improve their individual or family circumstances. Open from December 1 through March 15 each year, the Santa Clarita Valley Shelter provides shelter, food, clothing, medical and mental health services as well as other assistance and referrals to its clients. Because children under 16 are not permitted to stay overnight at the EWS, qualifying local families with children receive shelter in a local motel. # # # # |
